Exam Photo & Signature Resizer — Exact Size for Your Exam

Resize your photo and signature to the exact size and KB your exam asks for: SSC, IBPS, SBI, UPSC, NEET, JEE, TNPSC, RRB. Name & date on photo, signature cleanup. Free, no upload.

Why Exam Portals Reject Photos and Signatures

Every recruitment portal checks two things before it accepts an upload: the picture's dimensions and its file size in KB. SSC wants a photo between 20 and 50 KB and a signature between 10 and 20 KB; IBPS and SBI ask for a 200 × 230 pixel photo, a 140 × 60 pixel signature, a thumb impression and a handwritten declaration, each with its own range. A phone photo is several megabytes and the wrong shape, so it fails both checks. This tool crops your picture to the exact shape, resizes it to the exact pixels and saves a JPG whose size lands inside the required range — not just under the maximum, because files below the minimum are rejected too.

Presets for SSC, IBPS, UPSC, NEET, TNPSC and Railway

Pick your exam and the document you are uploading, and the width, height and KB range are filled in from the 2026 notifications: SSC (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD), IBPS and SBI (PO, Clerk, RRB, SO), UPSC (Civil Services, NDA, CDS), NTA (NEET, JEE, CUET), TNPSC (Group 1, 2 and 4) and Railway RRB (NTPC, Group D, ALP). Commissions revise these between years, so every number stays editable and the Custom option handles any other form, from state PSCs to university admissions.

Name and Date on the Photo, Clean Signatures

UPSC and TNPSC require the candidate's name and the date the photo was taken printed under the face. Tick the option, type both, and they are drawn in clear black capitals on a white strip at the bottom of the photo. For signatures and thumb impressions photographed on paper, the clean-up option turns grey or yellowish paper pure white and the ink solid dark, which is exactly what scrutiny teams look for.

Your ID Photos Never Leave Your Phone

Most resizer sites upload your face and signature to their servers. File Studio does the cropping, cleaning and compression inside your browser, so nothing is sent anywhere — you can even turn on airplane mode after the page loads. It works on any Android phone or iPhone without installing an app.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should my SSC photo and signature be?
Choose SSC and the tool sets it for you: photo 20–50 KB and signature 10–20 KB as JPG. You can edit any value if your notification lists different sizes.
What are the IBPS and SBI photo, signature, thumb and declaration sizes?
Photo 200 × 230 px at 20–50 KB, signature 140 × 60 px at 10–20 KB, left thumb impression 240 × 240 px at 20–50 KB, and handwritten declaration 800 × 400 px at 50–100 KB, all JPG. Pick IBPS / SBI and switch between the four documents.
How do I add my name and date on the photo for UPSC or TNPSC?
Pick UPSC or TNPSC, upload your photo and type your name and the date the photo was taken. The tool prints them in black on a white strip under your face, as both commissions require.
My signature comes out below the minimum KB. What do I do?
Nothing — the tool handles it. Plain signatures often compress below limits like 10 KB, so it saves at full quality and, if still too small, tops the file up to the minimum with hidden padding that doesn't change the picture.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Cropping, cleaning and compressing all happen inside your browser. Your photo and signature never leave your phone or computer, which matters for ID documents.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. File Studio is built on a strict local-first architecture. Every PDF operation — merging, splitting, compressing, redacting — runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your computer. You can even disconnect your internet after the page loads and the tools will continue working perfectly.
Is File Studio completely free?
Yes, 100% free with no limits. There are no file size caps, no daily limits, no watermarks added to your output, and no account or email required. All tools are free forever.
Does it work on mobile and tablet?
Yes. File Studio is fully responsive and works on Android and iOS browsers. All processing happens locally on your phone's or tablet's hardware.
