Name and Date on Photo — For UPSC, TNPSC and Exam Forms

Add your name and date below your photo for UPSC, TNPSC and other exam forms. Exact pixel size and KB range, black text on a white strip, JPG download. Free, no upload.

Name and Date Printed Under Your Photo

Some recruitment forms, including UPSC and TNPSC, ask for the candidate's name and the date the photo was taken printed on the photograph. This tool adds a white strip under your photo and writes your name in bold capitals on one line and the date on the next, in black, sized to fill the strip without running off the edge. You can print the date as dd-mm-yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy or dd.mm.yyyy, and place the strip over the bottom of the photo instead if your form asks for that.

UPSC and TNPSC Sizes, or Your Own

The UPSC and TNPSC presets use the same pixel size and KB range as the Exam Photo tool, taken from the 2026 notifications: the strip is part of the photo's height, and the JPG is saved so its size lands inside the range rather than just under the maximum. A checklist then shows whether the new file's size, dimensions, format and shape match. For a state PSC, SSC or any other form, choose Custom and enter the width, height and KB range from your notification, or keep the photo's original size. Commissions change these values, so always check your own notification.

No Upload — Your Photo Stays on Your Phone

Many name-and-date photo sites send your picture to their server. Here the text is drawn and the JPG is made inside your browser, so your photo is never uploaded. It works on Android phones and iPhones without installing an app.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I put my name and date on a photo for an exam form?
Upload your photo, type your name, pick the date the photo was taken and choose your exam or a custom size. The tool prints your name in capitals and the date in black on a white strip under the photo, and saves a JPG.
Which exams need the name and date on the photo?
UPSC and TNPSC ask for the candidate's name and the date the photo was taken printed on the photo, and some other recruitment forms do too. Always follow the instructions in your own notification.
Will the photo match the UPSC or TNPSC size and KB limit?
Pick the UPSC or TNPSC preset and the JPG is made at that exact pixel size, with its file size inside the KB range from the 2026 notifications. A checklist shows the size, dimensions, format and shape of the new file against those values. Use Custom if your notification lists different numbers.
Can I choose the date format?
Yes. The date can be printed as dd-mm-yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy or dd.mm.yyyy. It defaults to today, and you can pick any other date.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The text is drawn and the JPG is made inside your browser, so your photo never leaves your phone or computer.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. File Studio is built on a strict local-first architecture. Every PDF operation — merging, splitting, compressing, redacting — runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your computer. You can even disconnect your internet after the page loads and the tools will continue working perfectly.
Is File Studio completely free?
Yes, 100% free with no limits. There are no file size caps, no daily limits, no watermarks added to your output, and no account or email required. All tools are free forever.
Does it work on mobile and tablet?
Yes. File Studio is fully responsive and works on Android and iOS browsers. All processing happens locally on your phone's or tablet's hardware.
